Vertu unveils 4 phones in Japan gold

Japan may not be Nokia (NYSE: NOK) ‘s grass, but there is Vertu – the luxury arm of Finnish giant not only sells its super-expensive jewelry in the Land of the Rising Sun, but also as active (re ) an expensive MVNO.

To celebrate the first anniversary of its flagship store in Ginza, Tokyo next month – has 4 gold Vertu phones – Kinko, Kikusui, Nanten and Daigo – unveiled with each different season of the year. It is a very, very, very limited range, the material is gold (made-in-Japan gold lacquer, more precise), hence the price of 20 million yen ($ 215,000) no surprise. To be honest (or not) that money buys you free domestic calls.
As you know, it is not about the specs with Vertu phones – it is about craftsmanship and precious materials used in the construction of the artwork. We read that Vertu plans to only four of these phones to sell worldwide, although I am not sure whether the idea is for each of the 4 phones in the series to offer buyers 4 (bringing the total number of devices available – 16) or each of the phones in the series is 100% unique.
