Motorola Opus renamed i1

Remember that Motorola Opus we seen back in December of 2009? The iDEN-based device seems to be toward the formal announcement, possibly at the CTIA Wireless in Las Vegas next Mon The new case is the name – instead of Opus, Motorola (NYSE: MOT) will call the i1 (i2 the importance of i3 and perhaps even in development?).

We have no details, but we have heard i1 will run Android 1.5 (why not 2.1 or at least 2.0?) And will be equipped with 3-megapixel camera. As an iDEN device, push-to-talk functionality will likely be included as well.
The way I see it, releasing an iDEN-based Android smartphone is easy money for Motorola.

It is not a big market, yet there is not much competition. MOTO has been ruling provides Nextel with the addition of an Android device they could at least bring their margins slightly higher level – as we will at least I1 gamble a little more expensive than some other MOTO phones sold by Sprint (NYSE: S) — owned networks, including Nextel and Boost Mobile. We keep looking, have no doubts.
