HTC HD2 breaks free in the wilderness T-Mobile USA
HTC HD2 is an almost perfect combination of physical hardware and silicon impressive performance on a device that is surprisingly slim, given the large 4.3-inch display exapanse.
Even Microsoft’s much maligned Windows Mobile 6.5 is expertly masked by Sense HTC interface. So it is easy to understand the anticipation felt by the first U.S. HD2′s release, asking for a Windows OS 7 Phone upgrade path yet. T-Mobile has the honor and release the HD2 is now showing as “coming soon” in its phone inventory. We have also got the first “wild” shots courtesy of TmoNews showing that large Blockbuster shortcut associated front and center for downloading movies on demand directly on the device. Still no fixed date or price, but $ 199.99 on contract ($ 449.99 unlocked) somewhere around March 24 sounds about right. Update: Tipster Nigel saw a “†” footnote to nothing (yet) to the bottom of the page 4 payments of $ 112.50 (or 20 payments of $ 22.50) required. That is $ 450, which correspond to the rumored price of the unlocked handset.
