Nokia Ovi press event this Thursday, ‘big news’ promised
Nokia is holding a press conference on Thursday morning in London to share some “big news” on its Ovi services.

The invite, which was sent out this morning, gives no further details. However, the presence of executive vice president Anssi Vanjoki indicates that it will be a significant announcement.
Our bet? The unveiling of the second-generation version of the Ovi Store, which Nokia briefed ME about in December.
“All the while there’s been this new platform being built in the background, which we’ll be talking about in the next couple of months and launching in the Spring with what we’re calling 2.0,” said VP of product, media George Linardos at that event.

We also wonder if Nokia will launch some new APIs for developers, such as in-app billing and push notifications, to catch up with Apple.
