Hero gets HTC Android 2.1 in March
The Meteor Irish telecom provider has announced that Android 2.1 update for HTC Hero will appear in March. The Irish would have heard of HTC themselves
An update for the HTC Hero to a newer version of the Android operating system has long been debated. The first rumors dating back months already, and still is not very clear. HTC himself would have said that an update for the Hero somewhere in the first quarter of this year. The phone manufacturer itself seems not quite know, because the rumors have ever seen other dates on which the update should come out. Meanwhile, already aware that Android 2.0 will not Hero, but immediately switch to 2.1. Previously we reported that the new software would come in February, but it seems that the update will be postponed a month. HTC has not given any confirmation.
The Meteor Irish telecom provider knows his forum to say that the update is expected in March. HTC itself as the source claimed. Would specifically Android 2.1 for the Hero at the end of the month, and on the HTC site to download. The Irish carrier is still searching for easier ways to update the users to get Hero. Probably there is an over-the-air update will be considered. If the update is immediately available everywhere or only in Ireland is not known. HTC is expected that the update for all countries simultaneously release, or at least in rapid succession, as in a previous update has already happened.
